Payment
As an alternative practitioner for psychotherapy, I am not allowed to accept health insurance cards. Some insurance companies offer special contracts for alternative practitioners, though. You might want to check with your insurance company.
The advantages for you as a self-payer:
I do not have long waiting lists, and I can usually offer an appointment in the current or the following week.
You alone (and no insurance company) decide how often and how long we are going to work together.
Please note that payment is due at the time of service: I accept cash and bank transfer. You will receive an invoice at the end of our counseling process.
Duration and frequency
The main goal of the first session is to get an impression of each other and for you to see if the “chemistry” is right between us. Therefore, I charge you a reduced fee.
A counseling session usually lasts 60 minutes. However, if necessary, e.g. for couple counseling or mediation, it can be extended to 90 minutes.
Weekly appointments have proven effective at the beginning of the counseling process. The longer we work together, the greater the gaps in between the sessions usually become. We arrange the next appointment after each session.
